Since childhood, Christian LECLERCQ has been attracted by the arts and he joined the only company in Longwy allowing him an artistic career.  This company was called : « La Société Historique des Faïenceries de Longwy du Baron d’HUART ».  See more on this page

His will, passion and hard work combined to the time spent and the multiple professional experiences helped him to learn all the steps of manufacturing and lead him to the job of ceramist.  When he was responsible of laboratory, he developed new techniques of conception, widened the color range of enamels and proposed new creations.  Many of them were commercialized.

Drawing on that experience, he receives in 1972, at the age of 25, his diploma of “Best Worker of France” and joined the closed circle of “Les Décorateurs de l’atelier d’Art des Emaux de Longwy”.  To express his talent, his creativity and his know-how freely, he created his own manufacture called “EMAUX d’ART de LONGWY”
Christian LECLERCQ has always followed his main objective, which is proposing very neat creations with very high added value to discerning enthusiasts. He valued his mastering over enamel thanks to his exceptional know-how, a quality “Made in France”.

1961 to 1976:
apprentice, ceramic decorator, responsible of laboratory, Meilleur Ouvrier de France
Christian LECLERCQ learned his job and built a solid experience in “ La Faïencerie historique d’Huart de Longwy ”.
1976-1988 :
Creation of a workshop called: “ l’Atelier du bois des Seigneurs ”
1988 until now:  
Creation of a manufacture called: “ Les Emaux d’Art de Longwy ”.  Since the opening, Christian LECLERCQ has always followed his course of action which is: “ The implementation of his rare and complex know-how to obtain works of art sublimated by a technique of decoration on earthenware dating from the end of the 19th century in Longwy. ”

Today, Les Emaux d’Art de Longwy distinguish itself by the gain of many recognitions of French excellence and from the know-how this House owns through the ability of its personnel.
