Museum of Longwy
Christian LECLERCQ, recognized by his peers as specialist in ceramic and indisputably mastering the technique of encircled enamels from Longwy as it was practiced at the end of the XIXth century, was granted a delicate work of restoration by the municipality of LONGWY. Indeed, the double basin, support of the “Grande Fontaine” of the municipal museum, was for some time damaged and stored in the reserves of the museum. It was a matter of time to find the person capable of restoring the double basin, broken in 70 shards and about a hundred of pieces of glass. Today, thanks to Christian Leclercq and after 120 working hours, this fountain, dating from the end of the 19th century, is back as one of the major components of the museum.
